Headaches & Migraines
Chronic headaches can easily affect a persons mood, concentration and personal relationships. The good news is that acupuncture has been shown to be an effective treatment for this common condition.
One common cause of headaches is tension and overwork. This can manifest as contracted muscles through the neck and shoulders, leading to restricted blood flow and pain.
According to TCM, there are a variety of reasons why people experience migraines and headaches. We recommend a thorough consultation so we can identify the major triggers, and recommend a treatment strategy and lifestyle advice.
Acupuncture treatment can be used while experiencing a headache, however if you suffer from a chronic issue, we highly recommend you set up a regular treatment strategy that does not necessarily mean having acupuncture when in pain. In our experience, working on the causes of the headaches, rather than just relieving them at the time gives more effective and lasting results.
